It is very important to see oppression as a structural issue without taking on individual guilt for historical injustices. Explain what this means and why it is important. Why does this matter? Be sure to include the concept of the "luxury of obliviousness" in your answer. (Can someone answer this as long as possible)
Solution: History is evident, wherever the ruling class got a chance they actually used all powers and their abilities in their capacity to make sure that they made their presence felt to the minorities or those who did not have the power by oppressing them. They have always justified the use of power as well as the oppression over these communities through the element of the luxury of obliviousness which means that they think that are the chosen ones who were gifted all these powers by God to rule and oppress others.
Be it Nazis in Germany, Islamic fundamentalists in Arab, or the Hindu fundamentalists in India, they all found an excuse to rule and oppress those who were weak and not had power. The Naziz carried out a mass killing of 6 million Jews just because their ideologies told them that the Jews were not pure Aryan race. The Arabs also carried out the mass conversion of the people into Islam and the Hindu fundamentalists are doing the same in India too. All these oppressions by the ruling class are nothing but the sense of Luxury of Obliviuosness among these people.
