What is science, and how do we use it to solve real-world problems? What is science, and what is biology in particular?
Science is the branch of knowledge dealing with truths derived
from observations and experiments. Biology is the study of life.
Scientists such as chemists, biologists and physicists use the
scientific method to make and test new theories.
1) Science solve problem of communication possible by using mobile
phones, landlines and internet services. Science brought the world
close and made the sharing, transfer of information possible from
one part of the world to another.
2) The advancement in science cure millions of diseases and
ailments. Heart transplants possible due to science and its
innovations. Doctors can see the inside of our body using X- ray
which is another discovery of science.
3) Source of energy such as electricity is also a result of this
innovation. Now man has power to turn nights into days and work for
longer hours.
4) Each and every machine from a simple calculator to high end
science is a part of existence.
5) Kids playing such as flying of kite involves science in the fact
that it involves the angle of elevation, speed as well as
distance.
6) Science solve cooking problems in kitchen such as ice cube is an
example of melting as well as freezing. The processes of
evaporation and condensation used in cooking proves science is all
around us.
7) Wastage of food problem is soved by science
by decomposition and preservation phenomenon. For example, left a
piece of bread then mould formation takes place on it.
8) Biology techniques used to solve global challenges in
agriculture, medicine and environmental sciences. Such aa in crop
breeding, genetic therapy for diseases and mitigating the effects
of climate change
