Answer: The concept involved in DSS were first introduced in the early 70's by scott Morton, According to him:
"Decision support system(DSS)means interactive computer based system which helps decision makers utilize data and models to solve unstructured problems". DSS analysis helps companies to identify and solve problems and make decisions.
Example: One of the DSS application is the management and development of complex anti terrorism systems and another example is a bank officer verifying the credit of a loan applicant.
