A manager is one who has the responsibility to maintain coordination among all the resources, especially human resources. He has a different role in different organizations and has to face some challenges to perform tasks.

Some challenges faced by a manager in a for-profit organization are:

1. The pressure to increase profit
2. Maintain the availability of staff according to the requirements.
3. The conflict between the organizational goal and personal goal.
4. To deal with market uncertainties.

Some challenges for a manager arises in a non-profit organization are:   

1. Rely on charity to raise funds for the organization.
2. To encourage staff members on a regular basis to participate in social work.
3. Need to show performance to the government
4. Should ensure to provide services to the right individual, and so on.

Manager of a government organization may also face challenges such that:

1. To maintain the culture within the organization.
2. Less power to make a decision as he has to report to the government about business activities.
3. Delay in implementing policies and other programs such as training and development programs, within the organization, and so on.
