1.Leadership is the art of getting others to want to do something you are convinced should be done.It is the process of influencing people to accomplish goals.An effective leader is a catalyst who facilitates effective interaction among manpower,material and time.The 8 leadership competencies Huston described technology skills which facilitates greater mobility, a global perspective regarding health care and nursing issues,ability to make decisions based on empirical science,ability to create organizational cultures that permeate better quality care and patient safety,appropriately intervening in political processes,highly developed collaborative and team building skills,the ability to balance authenticity and performance expectations,being able to envision and proactively adapt to a health care system characterized by rapid change and chaos.
Here i am going to select highly developed collaborative and team building skills.This is a people centred approach and is based on shared responsibility.It is a people centred approach and allows greater individual participation in decision making process.I prefer to use personal and positional power and cooperative decision methods to draw out ideas from employees and motivate them to set their own work goals,develop their own plans,control their own practice.It is based on creative leadership .
2 Budgetting is used as a device for controlling ,becomes a major part of the planning process in any organization.It is the heart of the administrative management.Nursing administrator requires the assistance of nursing superintendents and BSN prepared nurses to present the needs of the coming year within the specified data and confer with those who presented such need.The nurse leader should prepare requirements with the assistance of their subordinate officials for the coming year from the supplied information by them.They have to take assistance of his subordinates in determining the neds of the unit for ensuing year on the basis of information recieved.A BSN help the nurse leader in coordinating unit level fiscal planning to be congruent with organizational goals and objectives.They also help in preparing a summary of new needs,both personnel and material with data to support the request.
