Stratified Systems are: Caste, Slavery, Class, and Estate
Identify a stratified system you would most like to live in and why. What would you like your social strata in this system to be? Also, identify a country that you would like to live in that has this same stratified system.
The stratified system in which I would like to live is class system because moving upwards is possible in this system. The primary dimension in the class system is economic. Wealth, power and prestige are the three pillars of class system. These three elements go hand in hand but do not overlap always.Example a scientist may possess great prestige but may lack adequate wealth. The class system allows vertical mobility. This movement upwards or downwards is primarily the result of person knowledge, efforts, skills or lack of them.
In this system, my social strata will be to move upwards, gaining wealth power and prestige. This is because it can be gained by one's own efforts. So when we are ready to thrive hard to make improvement in our life then why to aim less. Slavery, caste and estate system do not provide opportunity for such upgradations. It remains the same what one acquires from birth.
The country that posses class system is United States. I would also prefer to live in this country as living in this place will offer chances to improve our life and make it much better.
