Social stratification has been continued since generations and this has created inequality not only in the status but in the beliefs as well. Social stratification is the categorization of people in the society into socio economic strata which is based upon the occupation,wealth,social and political power.It is evident that in a society some groups of people are upper class,some are middle while others are lower class.Upper class people have greater status,power,money as compared to other groups.

Stratified Systems are:

Slavery: It is the system where one human being is being owned by another.A slave is as a property of a person and the instructed work should be done by that person and there will be no remunation and he should work for his life times.

Caste: It is that which is a form of social stratification that was characterized by hereditary,that of transformation of life style,and includes status,occupation and social intractions. And this cast system exists in various regions.

Estate: It is a term as a persons property that is determined by common law ,entitlements and obligations.And this is realm and bord social category in the history of certain countries.

Class: It is determined as the people having some properties and are differentiated from others by kind, type, or quality.

The most common stratified system:

Social stratification is a common practice in areas like Africa,Asia,South America.The reason is poverty.The Indian caste system is an example proving that social stratification exists even today.People of different castes are treated accordingly in the society.The lower castes people are treated differently from the other castes.The reason is that India is a country of several castes.There are numerous belifes,religions and castes.This has lead to the categorization of the population among different groups.

Social stratification similarities:

Under social stratification people are divided on the basis of their property, power and prestige they have. slavery means that the individuals awn the people , as slaves have to follow the order of their owner. caste is determined by the birth of the individual, as in caste system person will always stay in the same status through out their life. class system is based on the money and material pocession, as class system is based on the person money and its increases when his money increases and vice versa.
