Craft a hypothetical social media policy statement for a fictitious company. This policy statement (500-750 words) should consider the legal rights and ethical responsibilities of all stakeholders. Provide contextual background explaining why a social media policy is needed. Social Media Policy – Santi Investment Firm SEC rules 17a-3, 17a-4, and 206(4), FINRA rules 3110 and 2210, and FINRA NTM 12-29 & 14-30 regarding communications with the people. Written communications, regardless of the medium, are subjected to the provisions of anti-fraud of federal securities rules and laws of the SEC, FINRA and NYSE .The company need to supervise electronic interactions and activity on social media and has the right to monitor, record and preview all communications of employee on social media, which includes outgoing, incoming and internal communication. For aim of this policy, social media defined as a website, or digital medium which has the primary aim is to electronic interaction between its users like posting, messaging, commenting or sharing content.

This policy is needed as It forms a safe area for employees to share their concerns before coming online. It outlines what is to be considered as confidential facts and information. It is definite about the consequences of the employees’ actions online. It states what is considered illegal. It educates employees. It reflects the company’s culture.
