LMX theory is based upon the personal relationships that we build with the individuals that work for us. As hard as we could try, our personal biases, affinity towards those that have similar interests as ours, and people that we gravitate toward, will tend to remain a part of our primary or at least secondary spheres of engagement. Why? We tend naturally to spend more time with the people at work than we do with our families and work becomes in part, a social environment for us to share weekend stories and sometimes personal narratives with those we are comfortable being around. Once we have established these relationships, we tend to pay them greater attention than other relationships. What benefits do you see coming out of these types of relationships? What potential obstacles do you see? If these relationships are a hindrance; How do we stop this process or if we can't, what can we do to minimize their effect on professional development?

THERE IS NO SUBJECT FOR THIS. jUST BASIC QUESTIONS IN GENERAL!

In LMX theory manager tend make good relations with those team members/subordinates who are competent, agreeable, matched the though process of manager and perform well in his eyes are the ones who gets greater responsibility and are trusted more and shown some type of biasness based on their qualities and due to this we tend to spend more time with them than our families and share weekend stories and in some cases personal matter also with those we feel comfortable with. But manager should limit his/her interactions with them because it can hamper company's growth and both short run and long run targets and also can put bad effect on managers personal life and unintentionally manager can disclose his/her secretaive personal matters with his subordinates which he/she should not.

Potential obstacles for to stop or control this high level of LMX relationship is personal bonding between manager and his good subordinates and company's growth which is associated with this LMX relationship. These relationships can create hindrances also in company's growth as well as in managers personal life also, we cannot stop this LMX relationship but can coach manager for how to maintain balance between his personal and professional life and how still he can achieve company's given goals.
