Leadership in Accreditation. As a new university Dean, you learn that two of the three programs in your school did not pass an accrediting review. The school needs accreditation for meeting further requirements in the programs. There are certain recommendations to be implemented to ensure the procedures or programs meet accrediting requirements based on the standards of the educational norms. The school has to meet the educational standards in human capital management, instructional leadership, personal behavior, building relationships, the culture of achievement, and organizational, operational, and resource management aspects.
Standards
The first standard to meet in the human capital management, the educational leaders have to use their role as human capital managers in school to drive improvements in the process of building leader effectiveness and student achievement in the entire academic curriculum. This aspect is crucial to achieving because these sets of practices related to the people resource management are completely focused on the organizational need to provide specific competencies and are directly implemented in three categories workforce management, workforce acquisition, and workforce optimization. The second standard in instructional leadership, the institution has to keep the standard in this aspect like to maintain acutely focused on the effective teaching and learning processes, this possesses a clear and comprehensive understanding of the best instructional practices, and maintain a continuously involved practice to promote activities that contribute to the academic success of all the students in the school. This also includes an intense role of moral purpose focused on promoting deep student learning processes, professional inquiry level, and trusting relationships. The third standard has to be personal behavior and it enhances the person's manifestation of the personality based on any combination of its genes and experiences in life. The educational leader’s model linked with the personal behavior that will set the tone for all student and adult relationships in the school. The fourth standard is building relationships and it means the educational leaders have to build relationships to ensure the key stakeholders must have to work effectively with each other to achieve transformative results and the management has to implement policies to adapt to these standards. The fifth standard is in the culture of achievement criteria’s and it means to focus on the most easily quantifiable and clearly measurable results, test scores. As a school leadership team and building administrators must work to keep their role, jobs and show them they are successful and understandable that this would be a clear focus. The sixth standard in the educational leader includes the organizational, operational, and resource management aspects and it means the leaders have to leverage operational, organizational, and resource management skills to a support improvement aspect and achieve to reach the desired educational outcomes.
To achieve the criteria’s is the first crucial step to pass the accreditation review, and have to implement different programs to assist in addressing the core issues in the area of concerns. The four stages in the accreditation are train, plan, deliver, and review process. The training stage means to offer or attend a number of workshops, conferences, and support sessions that designed to equip the team with a number of different skills for the efficient management of the school, the second stage is a plan and it means to focus on a project, activity or campaign related to the institution and shift the plan in the area. Also, to learn how to design or model a strategy for the success, set clear goals, aims and objectives need to win the funding support for every project in the educational institution, to identify the key stakeholders, and collaborate with the government bodies for the fundraising options. The third stage is delivery, and it means the management during the implementation in the phase of the project to meet the standards, it helps to troubleshoot, efficiently manage others for effectively, and ultimately be successful in the managerial goals. And the final stage means the review process, and to evaluate it to determine its complete success and impacts.
The right models are crucial and it includes the Delphi Method (DM), and it is a forecasting process to a framework based on the analysis, results of multiple rounds of questionnaires shared to a complete panel of experts. Include several rounds of questionnaires, interviews, and researches that are sent out to the group of an expert team, and the anonymous set of responses are aggregated and shared with the respective groups after each round accordingly. Finally, the recommendations and suggestions in the report support the relevant concept of the accreditation as a quality improvement strategies, which directly suggesting that the model should be initially acquired through the pilot testing of the proposed accreditation programs in the relevant backgrounds of the institutions and run the standard norms effectively.
