what are the trends of electronegativity, atomic radii, and ionic radii on the peridot table?
Electronagativity - In the period electronagativity of element increases from left to right as the atomic number increases size of element decreases tendency of attract electron pair increases and in group decreases down the group as the atomic number increases shell of element increases tendency of attract electron pair decreases.
Atomic reddi - In the period as the atomic number increases size of element decreases from left to right as the no. of electron added in same shell in period but neclear charge of nucleus increases and attractive force between nucleus and electron increases therefore size of element decreases and in group increases down the group as the atomic number increases shell of element increases therefore size of atomic reddi increases.
Ionic reddi - size of cation is less than parent element and cation formed by metal thus, in the period from left to right size of atomic reddi decreases for metel. and size of anion is more than parent element non metal form the anion. in the group as size of ionic reddi increases down the group as atomic size increases.
