The role of the board in resolving internal conflict between compliance, ethical obligations, and business needs is very important. The board is involved in policy making, as well-written policies lead to more efficient functioning. Decision making as it involves making choices about the organization's vision, mission, and strategies and lastly oversight. Thus by deciding on the organization's vision, mission, and strategies the board makes policies that resolve the conflict between compliance, ethical obligations, and business needs of an organization. As a current or future healthcare administration leader, I might address these challenges for a health services organization by framing the ethical guidelines of my organization that are in line with the organization's vision and mission. Communicating the ethical guidelines and getting informed consent wherever required from the patient.
