The shifting nature of the organization is propelling ethical guidance to institutional priority. Today's work demand comprises people who are more diverse than ever in society, knowledge, morality, education, and socioeconomic status. These people enter the workplace with varying backgrounds, purposes, goals, and impressions of acceptable behaviors. Such diverse, multicultural population of employees is being asked to work collectively in a spirit of collaboration and appreciation for the good of the company and the public they serve. However, in the workplace, employees experience decisions that have implications on their job security, salaries, and the success of their employing companies. Many times companies-decisions brings pressures for them in order to protect their own benefits and sometimes results in losing their personal and corporate integrity.
Review, interpretation, problem solving, and decision making are significant for the ethical resolution of conflicts. Four contending claims are made during ethical conflict including interpersonal perceptions are ;
(1) conflict between two or more owned values;
(2) conflict between individual values and the values held by other persons or the management;
(3) conflict between underlying principles and the need to get a desired outcome;
(4) conflict between two or more persons or groups with whom one has an obligation.
The settlement of conflict cannot rest in the control of one or two individuals. It should involve all colleagues in a situation for the legal and ethical reasons.
Dealing with ethical dilemmas, so, requires interpersonal and arbitrational skills but, employers sought employees with these accomplishments and moreover school curriculum have also stressed their importance for successful employment.
Although utilizing case studies and resources which could bring company cases and practices into the classroom are considered as good educational strategies. Many individuals point out that today's ethical problems require persons to be furnished with higher order decision-making and problem-solving skills which are significant to cope up with their work environments and maintaining their career growth. Interpersonal perceptions which are required to resolve the ethical conflicts are as follows;
1. Assertiveness
2. Empathetic listening
3. Principled negotiation
4. Evaluating risk
