Community is a group of people who live in the same village, town or city & have same interest, goal, belief & values, stays in the same geographical area, where they share the same facilities eg: schools, churches, health fscifacili & social amenities.

Community mobilization is a process of involving & motivating people, health workers & policy makers to organise & take a action for a common purpose in order to achieve sustainable development. It is an attempt to bring both human & nonhuman resources to undertake developmental activities inorder to achieve sustainable development.

Field trials are the studies carried out ON THE GROUND or ON THE FIELD , in people not admitted to an institution but in subjects of the population, free of disease.

Community trials are the extension of field trials, and in field trials in which the totality of the community are the units of assignment.

Field & community trials provide important information for making public health decisions & optimising national health programs.
