1. The role of socialisation is to make a person aware of the social norms, shared values, beliefs, customs and society's expectations from him /her. An individual learns impulse control, develops conscience and prepares himself /herself to take certain roles in the society and contributes to its growth. An individual gets his /her identity from the social group he /she is a part of and becomes an active part of the social affairs, playing vital role in social upliftment and progression of culture to the next generations.
The society ensures the attachment, a sense of belongingness and inculcates values to succeed in all spheres of life in the member through socialisation, and in turn benefitting from the individual accomplishments and capabilities harnessed to uplift, educate and culturally enrich its members.
2. A primary group is a small close knit social group, the members of which share close, personal, enduring and compassionate relationship with each other. Examples are families and some small organisations with great cultural attributes. The secondary social groups are the large formal groups where people share professional and goal oriented relationships with few personal relations between the group members. Examples are large corporations, social service organisations.
3. Culture is intangible in nature and comprises of shared values, beliefs, customs and behaviours exhibited by a groups of people. It developes slowly over the time and passed on to the next generation by its practitioners. A Culture might take years or decades, sometimes centuries to build and keeps on evolving with new additions in it over time. A society is a group of people which practices certain shared values and beliefs. In fact, the culture is practiced and propagated by the societies and both are incomplete without each other.
4. The symbols, signs, gestures and langage are the attributes that make the culture distinct and exclusive from the other cultures. These symbols give the culture a unique identity and are a shared mode of interaction among the members. The symbols and language form the relationship within and outside the cultural groups and helps the members to understand the relationship of the society with outside world.
