From the side view, video a volunteer walking at a slow pace, a normal pace, and a fast pace. Review the video several times, and construct a chart that characterizes the differences in lower extremity kinematics among the three trials. Explain what differences in muscle activity are associated with the major kinematic difference
Differences in muscle activity:
If we walk with normal pace then our muscle will be in our ideal condition of work and we can walk for a long time because working speed of muscle will be moderate. the study of our body movement is called kinematics and our body is the cluster of muscles by which we are able to move from one place to another place and can do other movements and work. In different walking pace, there is changes in hip, knee and ankle kinematics variables of the lower extremities , the plantar flexion peaks of the ankle joint significantly increased with increase of gait speed, the plantar flexion peaks of the ankle joint significantly increased with increased of walking speed, and we can see knee and ankle joint described as coupling motion which is dependent on gait speed, the coupling motion of the knee joint and plantarflexion of the ankle joint significantly increase with increase of gait speed, in slower pace has decreased joint movement and joint kinemtics and in normal pace there is not less or more joint movement and joint kinematics and in faster pace that there is increased joint power, gait speed have a significant effect on gait kinematics , the flexion peak and external rotation peak of the knee joint significantly increased with walking speed.
