FIRST AID: is the immediate care given to a person who has been injured or suddenly taken ill. Breathing difficulty is almost always a medical emergency but above all, the priority care should be given to the child ( unconscious) than pregnant women who had breathing difficulty and cough.
ACTION PLAN TO THE CHILD: The immediate care to the unconsciuos child was 1. to avoid danger.( Get the child out from the car) 2. The child was unconsciuos and should ask for help. 3. Follow ABC's ( check for Airway, Breathing and Circulation) 3. If it fails, start Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation ( CPR is a combination of rescue breaths and chest compressions which effectively help the child alive by oxygenating the blood with the rescue breaths and provides artificial blood circulation with the chest compression).
ACTION PLAN TO THE PREGNANT MOTHER: 1. Get emergency help and remove the mother to safety. 2. start oxygenating the mother to improve circulation and to reduce dyspnea 3. continue monitoring of pulse, blood pressure and respiration 4. monitor the baby for any signs of complications due to gas inhalation.
