Do you think Fed’s current structure makes sure that decision making and power is diffused among different states and different business interests?
Answer - Yes , the structure of the federal reserve system is such that there are 12 federal reserve banks which serve the 12 states of US. These 12 federal reserve banks which are the arms of the central banking structure. Any decision which is taken in the board meeting of the bank requires the voting of these 12 arms. Hence this ensures that the approval of all the states of US is obtained. This ensures that the policies are fair and beneficial for whole of the continent. The decision making power is not vested alone in the hand of congress. ,president or any one of the federal reserve banks. If has been divided so as to serve the interest of whole of the continent. This ensures the sound decision making by considering each region and every business interest.
