AHRQ supports important research to improve clinical decision-making, advance patient safety, decrease medical errors and enhance health care quality and access. The AHRQ focus on Safety and Quality, to reduce the risk of harm by promoting delivery of the best possible care and also to improve health care outcomes by encouraging the use of evidence to make informed health care decisions.

National Institue Of Health is kind of agency which supports the medical research. It consist of many research institute such as National Cancer Institute (NCI) whose mission is to "lead a national effort to reduce the burden of cancer morbidity and mortality and ultimately to prevent the disease.
