Leaderly behavior (IMO):
- Focus on goals, strategies, organizational alignment. Are we
working toward the right/same things, and understand why?
- Motivation and culture. Are people doing the right things for
the right reasons? Have we created cross-incentives or
disincentives that reduce cooperation? Are we treating people
(employees, customers, partners…) thoughtfully and generously and
collaboratively?
Managerial behavior (IMO) includes:
- Dividing work thoughtfully among the team so staff have
appropriate assignments and a chance to succeed
- Scrutinizing processes and cross-functional activities to get
more (of the right things) done with less friction
