How do you feel consumers will react to the use of location-based mobile-marketing techniques for advertising messages and IBP programs?

Location Based Marketing (LBA) is a new form of marketing which has taken the marketing world by a sweep. This form has integrated the location tracking technology with mobile services.

I believe that data privacy is a concern which is worrying the consumers in today's world. The way we all are connected 24*7 with multiple devices and multiple accounts in various social networking sites and other platforms, there is clear breach of privacy of personal information. Also, this form has flooded the devices and applications with unnecessary and inappropriate advertisements which reduce the efficiency of the devices and also cause troubles to the users. The advertisement standards are hardly trackable in these types of marketing which has allowed marketers to breach the advertisement standards which results in harassment to the users.

In the light of the above information I believe consumers have a negative opinion on LBA and IBP programs and do not prefer to be target via these channels of marketing.
