Sexual abusers do not report their abuse because of the following reasons:
1. Shame: One of the primary reasons why sexual abusers do not report their abuse is because of shame. They felt ashamed to the society where they stay. Shame is a natural reaction or core of emotions of human beings. Especially, when they are face such situations like sexual abuses. They just want to hide themselves.
2. Fear: Fear of consequences is the most obstacles in their mind to report the sexual harassment. They fear that they might lost their jobs, friends, physical safety, careers and so on. As a human, we born got many fears.
3. Low self-esteem: Some of them are because of low self-esteem. They don't have a confidence to report such things. Some they don't care about such thing because actually they don't know about their own quality. So, they are careless and they didn't take serious on such situations because they felt normal. It happened sometimes they got huge paid for that.
4. Felt hopelessness and helplessness: Some they felt hopeless and helpless to do such things and they thought no use of reporting, it might bring more difficulties to themselves. So, they just quit because they felt powerlessness.
5. Dissociated or Drugged: Some at the same time of abuse they were dissociated or drugged because they lost their memories. Some of them drunk themselves and its happened such things.
Social influences affect the way how people behave towards others in the society. Social influence occurs or happened when a person's emotions, opinions or behavior are affected by the others.
Power is an authority to give something to someone or to take something from someone. It make people to think that they are in high level and invincible. Having too much of power within an individual or a group can lead to exert over other in order to achieve their own desires. It can control or it can corrupt others especially those who are against to that person or group. While perceived power is the perception of comforts or difficulties of a particular person. It controls one's beliefs that, he/she saw that a particular person had control over other inside state, behaviors, feelings or surroundings around the environment.
