How might your underlying attitudes toward older people affect the ways in which you relate to them? How might societal attitudes toward older people affect the allocation of funds for social services and for medical research?
Usually when we think of Older people we tend to think of our grand parents. And we have sympathy for them, Older people are usually kind and nice toward children. Funds for social service or medical research would also depend upon financial power of the country. Many countries like UK and germany have good medical or resedential facilities for oldies. If the scoiety views them as good for nothing or of no use, then there would less approad of help. If society views them as tired people or because of them today's financial situation is good then many welfare facilities can set up for them. In country like India there is pension plan for old or retired people, but many a times due some monetary problems these are not given pension on time. Which is then a bottle neck even though there is lot of respect of old age people in India. As far as medical research is concerned in many developed countries there are good medical facilities such as free or discounted medical or a emergency doctor arrives upon one telephone call. But may be due to lack of funds or ideas these things are not implemented in developing or underdeveloped countries.
