According to WHO, Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely an absence of disease or infirmity, and allows a person to lead socially and economically productive life.

There are various determinants of health,they include-

Biological determinants means physiological and anatomical functioning of the body.

Socioeconomic determinants which include- living conditions, relationhips with other individual of the community,occupational status,poverty etc.which affect an individual in positive or negative way.

Environmental determinants which has two components internal environment and external environment.

Internal environment include internal functioning of the body as physiological functions.

External enviroent includes all factors which is external to the individual such as family, occupation, lifestyle etc

Human rights and education system.

Ageing of the population.
