Solutions

Expert Solution

1. Increasing healthcare costs, the aging population, and various economic factors pose a significant financial challenge to Medicare. This will have a huge impact on the healthcare delivery system, which would probably be dependent on the future healthcare reforms after the election. Healthcare delivery system will witness a drastic change in giving the provider payments, lower patient turnout, dissatisfied professionals, etc. Specialty-based care will give way to acute-care-based care due to lower costs and higher efficiency. Universal health coverage would be suggested as a remedy and there are chances of accepting this considering the long-term benefits.

2. To control the impact factors, universal health coverage should be made available to all so that everybody has access to the necessary health services including prevention, treatment, palliation, rehabilitation, and promotion without being restricted by their financial backgrounds. Free healthcare for all, if made into a reality, as envisioned by the thoughtful leaders, is capable of changing the scenario of the healthcare delivery system as a whole and would be beneficial to millions of citizens who couldn't benefit from the existing healthcare laws or reforms.
