THEME :- Breast care and breast feeding

Goal :- Improve breast care , promote breastfeeding.

Date :- 21/10 /2020

Learning objectives :- To understand the importance of breast care , and to improve breast feeding .

Breast care :- breast care is nothing but maintaining cleanliness .

Importance :- It is important to maintain breast care to prevent diseases.this breast care can take anyone .

Breast self examination :- It involves 6 steps.

standing infront of the mirror.

* Look for the difference for right and left chest.

* Observe for rashes , and soft skin.

* Raise the right hand and observe for any abnormality, and raise left side and observe for any abnormality.

* Palpate the chest for any nodules.

* Palpate the nipple To identify any discharges present.

* Lying down on bed and observe for any abnormality.

Breast feeding :- breast feeding is nothing but giving feed to the baby through breast.which is pure and natural milk for baby.

Importance :- breast feeding helps the child to healthy because it contains good nutrious diet which present proteins, vitamins ,minerals.and it contains immunoglobilins.

Breast milk cobtain 3 types :- which include

1) Clostrum milk :- This milk profuce after delivery of baby. This milk contain immunoglobulins , which helps to protect from virus ,bacteria.

2) transitional milk :- This milk produce after 4to 5 days of delivery of baby and lasts about 2 weeks of delivery.

3) Mature milk :-

It is highly cholesterol content.

Disadvantages if the baby is not feed with breast milk :-

If the new born baby feed with cow's milk the baby may become anaemic , and baby may have nutritional problems, and may have allergic reactions.

The breast care is important to maintain good health and prevent diseases.and breast milk is very important to the baby to maintain good health.
