Teacher plays a very important role as a facilitator in many
ways:
Teacher acts as a person who helps and assists a group of
students to achieve better results by grasping the knowledge that
is being imparted and distributed in the class , this is the
quality of a facilitator as a facilitator assists people in
achieving their goals.
A teacher encourages innovation and creative thinking in the
class which is again an attribute of a good facilitator i.e. he/she
does not get strict and let students learn through creativity and
innovation by encouraging them to think.
A teacher also creates a healthy environment in the class which
makes students participate in the discussions and present their
ideas and polish their thinking levels.
Lastly a teacher allows the groups to discuss a topic and
present their ideas, he/she does not impose his/her own viewpoints
rather a teacher works as a facilitator by correcting any wring
facts or by assisting them by giving a direction of thinking which
can lead to conclusion.
