An appropriate health teaching plan for the ADOLESCENT should include; promoting the reproductive health of young people by educating them about the sexually transmittable diseases and the risk factors associated with these diseases such as unprotected sex.
Educating the adolescents; about the hormonal changes in their body and the nutritional requirements of their body in this stage of life. Educating the adolescents about the ill effects of substance abuse in which they may indulge at this age due to peer pressure.
2. An appropriate health teaching plan for the child with visual impairment include;
Developing alternatives to statements of special educational need through the person-centered planning approach.
Bringing together education, health and social care provision planning that is integrated and commissioning of services.
Planning form childhood to youth for improving the transitions. Focusing on outcomes for children, rather than inputs by evaluation of the impact of services.
The health teaching plan should include educating the child about the cause of his or her blindness. For example, if it was due to vitamin A deficiency helping him to manage his diet so that this problem does not aggravate in the future. Educating the child to become independent physically and economically so that the liabilities associated with him decrease.
