I learned form microbiology class that how we can prevent the spread of infection from one to another . Yes ,there is a patient care behaviors that I have changed in my practice this quarter as a result of microbiology knowledge is the habit of hand washing inbetween the care provided to patients ,when we go from one to another even if we are not touching the patient because hand washing is the strongest arm against spread of infection .

Knowledge of microbiology helps a nurse in every field of health care. Nurses should have known about the mode of spread of infection. This knowledge would help a nurse to look for specific control of the spread of infection. To take care of patient and to protect oneself from pathogenic microorganisms. Nurses utilise concepts of microbiology while giving patient care or doing procedures. To prevent spread of infection: Nurses should have knowledge about the mode of spread of infection.
