Recent ebola outbreak in West Africa has been considered as global public health emergency by WHO (World Health Organization). It has been reported that this ebola outbreak is the largest and most severe case reported in the past 40 years. About 28,616 cases were reported and 11,310 deaths was reported in the region of Guinea and Liberia.
Center for Disease control and prevention (CDC) has put an enormous effort by employing more than 1200 workers in West Africa. Also, CDC works by providing laboratory facilities, mobilizng partners, epidemology, infection control and border screening in the regions of West Africa.
CDC staffs are expert in diagnosing with new kits, conducts research to analyse therapeutic drugs and also the capability of the vaccine. One of the challenges during the functioning is the co-ordination of various bodies, but CDC's management systems has enough experience to overcome such situations.
