A occupation is the work or some activities in which a person engaged by means of earning money or living vocation. Simply a occupation is a job or profession.

1. Nursing is an art and science in which the traind personals are provide care to the persons who are physically, mentally and emotionally ill. It is a profession in which the specially trained prisons provide care to the individual, family and community so that they can reach to a level of optimum health and wellbeing.

2.Responsibilities of the nursing occupation =

a) Care to the individual = the nurses basic and main responsibility is to provide care and comfort to the persons who are physically and emotionally ill in various settings like as hospital, community, home etc. The not only provide care to the individual who are I'll but also the person who are in self care deficit.

b) Record and report = the another main responsibility of a nurse is to record the patient's data, the care and the treatments which are provided to the patient, datail history of the patient etc. And also report them to the higher authorities and to the other health care providers.

c) Firm aims and objectives = the nurses has to form aims and set goal and diagnosis and care acording to those diagnosis. They has to concider about the ethico-ligal issues in there work place with the patient and his family members and other co-workers.

d) Teaching the patient and family members = the another basic responsibility of the nurses are to teach the patient and the family about the diseases he is suffering from, it's signs and symptoms, it's diagnostic and management criterias and the home care guidelines. In community settings the people has to teach about various preventive measures and primary care of some common diseases.

e) Counsellor = the another responsibility of the nurse is to councelling the patient and their family members. She has to talk with the patient if he/she present in that setuation and other family members. He has to show the ways how they can escape themselves from crisis setuation.

3. As per INC ( Indian Nursing Council) the education certificate that are required for a registered nurse in Nursing occupation are = they has to pass the bord examination (in class XII ) with 50% number in all subjects (the biology is mandatory subject), ii. They must has to complete a the nursing course in GNM ( General nursing and midwifery) or the B. Sc Nursing ( Bachelor of science in nursing).

4. Various technological skills are required in nursing occupation. Some of them are listed below = vital signs monitoring,

Puls oxymetry monitoring,

NG tube feeding, Intravenous line administration,

Communication education techniques,

Knowledge in computer science for recording and reporting etc.

There are so many skills required for this nursing occupation.
