6 advanced nursing practice roles:

  • Nurse practitioner:APN can practice outside the hospital to provide a cure,primary and emergency care to the oatient.nurse should complete the course for the practice. The dilemma in this case is the patients awareness of this role of nurse.
  • Nurse midwives:Nurse can assist labor with or without physician help if certified as a nursing midwives. The dilemma facing is the patient outcomes.
  • Nurse anestheti:anesthesia and pain management crevices can be provided.
  • Nurse clinical practitioner:Diagnostics, patient care,treatment schedule etc can be done by clinical nurse practitioner. Ethical dilemma is Delayed consent,disclosing medical secretes.
  • Nurse surgeon:Nurse can assist in surgery if certified. The dilemma is on level of practice facilities.
  • Nurse Manager:Nurse can act as an healthcare manager.there will be ethical dilemma like staffing,patient care etc.

Qualification is BSN and MSN degree in each specializations.

2.The hospital is responsible for the act of their staff.

The nurse practice may affect the credibility of the hospital.
