What is the fundunental attribute of all living things?

Solutions

Expert Solution

The following are the fundamenta attribute of all living things-

1 Nutrition- Living things take in materials from their surroundings that they use for growth or to provide energy. It is the process by which organisms get energy to carry out life processes.

2 Respiration- It is the release of energy from food substances in all living cells by breaking down in the cells to release energy.

3 Movement- It is the process by which organisms move from one place to another.

4 Excretion- It is the removal of toxic materials which are the the waste products of metabolism and substances in excess from the body of an organism.

5 Growth- It involves using food to produce new cells to increase in size.

6 Reproduction- It is the ability of organisms to produce their offsprings.

7 Sensitivity- Living things have the ability to sense and respond to stimuli around them such as light, temperature, water, gravity and chemical substances.
