Enterprise resource planning ( ERP) software is used by businesses to integrate and manage common tasks involving information technology, service, and human resources. Designed primarily for large companies with the resources needed to support a comprehensive management system, ERP is divided into modules which address specific areas within a company. Management of human resources (HR) is one basic module used to simplify administrative work which would otherwise be repetitive and time-consuming.

HR management , also known as managing human resources or HCM, includes a diverse collection of personnel records, payroll information, time monitoring, schedule management, recruiting roles and performance tracking. When information passes between agencies, all such systems can easily become complicated, and even lead to duplicated or incomplete data. Fixing the resulting errors will waste valuable time which could be spent on more productive tasks.

Without an ERP solution that includes HR software, your business needs to allocate a considerable amount of resources just to input, transfer, and manage employee data. Although with a dedicated HR team, it is impossible to execute such functions, such as logging working hours and converting certain numbers into payroll records, with some degree of detail. Unanticipated gaps between the time information is collected and the time it hits the correct departments will throw off estimates and entail repeating entire processes. The integrative design of ERP applications removes this irritating pause while maintaining data accuracy at every step of the way
