What is ERP system architecture? And what is necessary for the ERP implementation to be successful?

ERP is abbreviated as Enterprise Resource Planning, it comes under the category of business management and also it is a software architecture that facilitates the flow of information among the different functions within an enterprise and it shares the information across organizational units and geographical locations.
The main goal of the ERP systems to provide business functions are accounting, sales, inventory control and production.
