Using the SWOT analysis, how can you annalysis as a nurse to go and work in a bigger hospital on a med surg floor, or staying in the same samaller hospital, but as a supervisor.

SWOT analysis is a strategic planning or a framework which helps an individual or an organisation to identify it's strengths, weakness , opportunities and threats .

By using the SWOT analysis ,a nurse can analyse and work in bigger hospital on a med surgery floor or stay in the same smaller hospital ,but as a supervisor because it provides the nurses the following factors:-

S- Strength =it helps the nurse to use her strength or to utilise her skills to take advantage of opportunities available there in the med surgery floor ,which will lead efficient use of equipment and intellectual factors to provide effective care to the patient.

W-Weakness = it helps the nurse to know and overcome the weaknesses which prevents the utilisation of opportunities available in the med surgery floor ,it will help the nurse to use her tactics to solve the problem and emerge further by overcoming the barriers in the way to provide effective patient centred care.

O- opportunity = it helps the nurse to utilise the opportunities available in the med surgery floor to enhance her skills and knowledge . It will help in providing quality care to the patient and development of self which will help the nurse to role as a supervisor,leader, advocate , teacher ,manager etc.

T - threats = threats are the external or internal factors which the nurse might have to face during care of patients . These are problems or risks a nurse must be mentally prepared to tackle and respond it timely so that there is no delay in providing care to the patient.
