Explain clearly and briefly, in your own words, the ideal of spiritual excellence in the Islamic religion. (One Page Single Space answer please)
The ideal of spiritual excellence in Islam is not different from Spiritual Excellence in any other relaigion though may be misguided many a times. In almost all the religion of the world the parameter for spiritual excellence is based on connecting with the paramters to the proximity with the Supreme Being. In Islam, that is Allah. Even the fundamentalists and radicalists organizations are ablle to create people who are willing to die for the cause because they have been misguided into believing that it will help them get into more proximity with the Supreme being.
However, as a devout Muslim an individual can acheieve spiritual excellance by following the same values and norms which are in every religion For example: Peace, Harmony, Devotion, Humility, eternal goodness etcThe commandments of the Holy Quran and the following of the Holy Quran with thorough intellect, wisdom and understanding itself can take an individual to the highest spritual excellence.
Sufism which is one of the schools of Islam talks about the innerward journey of a devout Muslim and a thorough learning of Sufism make take new to Islamic mysticism.
