Explain clearly, and in your own words, the differences between (a) data validation, (b) data editing, and (c) data coding?
Answer: Data validation: In general term, data validation is the process of ensuring data have undergone data cleansing to ensure they have data quality, that is, that they are both correct and useful. The information of the patient health and all the data should be entered and validate time to time and it has quality.
Data editing; As its name indicate, it is process involving the review and adjustment of collected survey data. The purpose is to control the quality of the collected data. Data editing can be performed manually, with the assistance of a computer or a combination of both.
Data coding; coding is an analytical process in which data, in both quantitative form (such as questionnaires results) or qualitative form (such as interview transcripts) are categorized to facilitate analysis. One purpose of coding is to transform the data into a form suitable for computer-aided analysis.
