  • It provides a safe learning environment that encourages the report of adverse events, near misses event, mistakes, and errors.
  • It distinguishes the categories of behavior such as human errors, at-risk behavior, and reckless behavior.
  • An individual is accountable for their own performance and job responsibilities.
  • The safe design system improves the work processes and ensures the client and staff safety.

Yes. I agree with the concept of Just Culture. It promotes the client safety and improves the health outcomes in the following way.

  • It encourages the staff members to report the errors and the events without fear because just culture focuses the error as a behavioral choice of practitioners.
  • It assures that the staff members will prevent from threatening of action for errors.
  • Human errors are managed by rectifying the cause, correcting the processes and fixing the variation.
  • Recognizing the compliance of at-risk behavior in the emergency situation.
  • Reckless behavior is rectified by educating, counseling of staff members on policies and procedures.

Just culture improves the staff satisfaction and health outcomes.
