Best techniques for architecture/design-style evaluation are as follows :

1. Identify the various approaches in that architecture [i.e detect patterns, sensistivity points, strategies involved]. View properly the context or entire module diagram. Also, list out alternative approaches that may be possible.
2. Produce a quality attribute utility tree after mapping the architectural decisions with the quality attributes.
3. Discover various risks involved in the architechtural design.
4. Summary is generated regarding above all points identified to produce those to the stake-holders.
5. Conduct review walkthroughs with the stake-holders by frequent questions session and asking them if the design has satisfied all their requirements.
