1.) The raising parcel of air expands becomes less denser as it raises. This occurs because the air pressure lowers around the parcel as it increase in altitude. Since it is expanding the volume of parcel increases. The te.perature of the raising parcel always cools eventhough it was becoming less denser.
3.) Heat can be transported in atmosphere in three ways.
Conduction
Conduction is defined as heat transfer between two objects when comes into contact.
Example is after a vehicle is turned off the engine gets heated up.
Convection:
Convection is defined as heat transferred through fluids or gases when passing from one medium to another.
Example of convection when inside the hot air balloon gets heated up then it exerts upward pressure and air moves and lifts the balloon upwards.
Radiation:
Radiation is defined as amount of heat transfer in the forms of waves like ultraviolet, visible, gamma , radio, infrared , microwaves etc.
Example of radiation is when a candle is lighten up the heat transfer form of light and heat from the burning candles.
4.) Greenhouse effect is the phenomenon where heat is transfer from the atmosphere to the earths surface where the temperature increases beyond the earths surface temperature.
Yes if the night is clear the temperature of the earths surface escapes to the atmosphere where as the cloudy night the temperature cannot escapes form earths surface to atmosphere faster which results in hot climate.
