2 There are several factors that discourage retailer's sales effort, for instance when an outbreak of an epidemic takes place. One real life example is the outbreak of corona virus which has affected the economy highly.

This has led to low supply and demand of goods and services discouraging retailer's sales efforts. Due to the outbreak of this epidemic, trade have been affected making the retailers have little supply of products for their businesses.

Corona virus outbreak has led to global fears which have also affected the retailer's sales efforts. It has led to shortages of raw material for production and manufacturing goods which are then supplied to the retailers. This shortages has discouraged the retailer's sales effort to reduce since demand is very low.
