Give an example of "Gaslighting". It can be a commercial, politician or describe a real-life example of someone that tries to "Gaslight" us to act as though the pandemic doesn't exist.

Gaslighting is a tactic in which a person or an entity,in order to gain more power makes a false statement about anything.example might be me & you.suppose my friend know that i am very close to my brother & he tries to disrupt that relationship so that i trust him more.It could be gaslighting.he might do this by speaking lies.May be he'll say that your brother speak ill about you.

following is the gaslighting spoken by the President of America:-

First of all they say the disease isn't that bad.It's flu.They say the death rate is high because we don't know how many have actually been infected yet.That 99% of us will be fine.

The same people that said at the beginning it was nothing to worry about that we were over reacting are the same people now saying the lockdown is a over reaction and we need to get the economy going again.
