introduction
The us national standards for culturally and linguistically appropriate services(CLAS)in health care provide and developing culturally competent system if care. The cultural competency assessment tool for hospitals(CCATH)developed as an organizational tool to assess adherence to the CLAS standards.
Uses of CCATH
Estimate the reliability and validity of CCATH measures and dicussing the managerial implications of CCATH as an organizational tool to assess the cultural competency.
Approach
We pilot tested an intial draft of CCATH, revised based on a focus group and cognitiv interviews., and then administered it in a field. The reliability and validity of CCATH were evaluated using factor analysis, analysis of variance and cronbachs alphas.
Exploratory and conformatory factor analyses identified 12 CCATH composites
Cultural competency is a ablity of health care providers to meet the cultural, social and linguistic needs of their patients.throug this we can provide good quality health care services.

The cultural competency achieved through inhouse training, case study review, live interactions with patients, role playing, training and continuing education healthcare vedios, improve communication barriers, perform cultural competency self assessment, participate online chats and networks.
