Find two cases in the media (internet, TV, etc.) of a person (organization, etc.) attempting to describe an example of the process of Darwinian evolution but is incorrectly describing the evolution process using a Lamarckian approach to evolution. Give the following information for both cases: Source (where you found it) In what ways are they mistakenly claiming that the evolutionary process is an example of Darwinian evolution? How do you know that they are really describing evolution through a Lamarckian process, not a Darwinian process?

In above question , both scientist given theory related to evolution process:-

1- Lamarck's theory of Evolution-(a) traits are aquired by habits or expeiance .(b) theory of use and disuse.

eg. a giraffe stretches its neck to browse / graze higher in trees for leaves for food , this  continuation of the habit over an extended period results in a gradual lengthening of the limbs and neck. In next genetration more giraffe progeny born with long neck and limbs(legs).

After several generation , lamarck's believed that favouable acquired characters are inheritence and trasmitted to the progeny so tha these are born fit to face the changed in environmental conditions ,hence the chances of survivility increased.

2-Darwin theories of Evolution-(a)theory of natural selection means descent with modification .(b) species changes over time.

eg.Darwin finches =Individuals(birds ) in a species show variation in physical characteristics. Individuals with characteristics best fit  to their environment are more likely to survive, finding food, avoiding predators etc.

birds develop their beak according to their  habitat of feeding. some are vegitarian and some are non vegetarian.

hence their theory only the cause of natural selection.

according to darwin lamarck theory diaproved that , some giraffe with short limb and neck not survive .its means these are not according natural selection.
