As per the standard CDC defination .... Health communication is the "The study and use of communication strategies to inform and influence individual decisions that enhance health."

it basically affect every aspect of health and well-being, including disease prevention, health promotion and quality of life.

it is composed of 2 words ... one is health.... another is communication i.e exchanging iinformation related to promoting health information like in public health campaigns, health education and its aim to improving health literacy by influencing the personal health choices.

over all health communication promoting....

a. the behavior changes to public health outcomes.

b. knowledge about the health issue.

c. increase awareness of a health issue.

therer are few steps that has essential for the proper strategic planning of an effective health communication like....

1. to find out the problem...

2. set some objective that what we want to communicate related to the problem

3. select our path to the target audiences.

4. devlop our concept.... what we want to say

5. select our communication channels

6. select the how thing ...ie.. how we say about that problem, our basis...

7. Develop promotion plan/production... how we get it

8. Implement our communication strategies and conduct the evaluation.

9. importantly....feedback.... r we did good..

now a days the field of health communication is gaining recognition because of its weightage on combining theory and practice in changing human behaviour and to understanding the communication processes.

as i m belonging to india and as per indian context and the current senerio best example is ....swachh bharat abhiyan...

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the most significant cleanliness campaign by the Government of India, leading the mass movement for cleanliness.

it is the largest compaign By inviting people to participate in the drive, the Swachhta Abhiyan has turned into a National Movement. now a days Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has become a ‘Jan Andolan’ receiving tremendous support from the people.
