Answer:- Public health efforts and private medicine complement each other and together serve the spectrum of health service needs of American society. Yet their relationship is contentious, here are some reasons behind this:-
-The policies of public health comes into the picture with new forms or new strategies, to fulfill the requirements private sector will ignore them due to their inflexibility.
-Increasing working load and decreased payments will attract Medical practitioner towards private sector.
-The distinction between public and private health is not one of officials of government versus the private sector personnel.
-The distinction between public and private health is one of perspective and nature of their work. For example, A private physician, serves through tradition and law his greatest duty to the individual patient which he is treating. A public health doctor may never treat anyone after her initial training. His goal is to treat the public as a whole.
