Create a scenario with the following disease including a typical

etiology.
GERD
GERD is a chronic digestive disorder in which acid juices or food from stomach flows into the esophagus. It mainly occurs by a regular heart burn,pain in the middle of the chest,bad breath and breathing problems. Ther are various risk factors such as, obesity,pregnancy,smoking, hiatal hernia and certain medications such as antidepressants,antihistamines and sleeping pills. This condition is cured to an extend by self managing of lifestyle,dietary modifications,exercise,weght loss,head of bed elevation. Moreover, some people need high dose of medication or surgery. Medication include antacid,proton-pump inhibitor and antidiarrhoeal.
Etiology of GERD:
* The prolonged exposure to gastric contents may decrease the tone of lower esophageal sphincter,decrease parasympathetic activity and increase sympathetic activity, release of cortisol glucocorticoid from adrenal gland.
* Increased esophageal sensitivity may lead to severe tissue damage.
* Personal habits such as alcohol and smoking can induce GERD.
* Aggravating food such as caffeine, chocolate, mint,cola,spicy food etc.
