Obama Care

It is often called as a patient protection and affordable care act set, a set of health insurance and industrial reforms passed by congress and signed by president obama in march 2010. It significantly increased increased the people with health insurance coverage.

To implement this new plan

First i will desseminate the advantages of obama care to the patients and relatives through face to face interview, Emails, advertisement in the news paper and arranging the camp.

I will arrange a team to identify the presence and knowledge of obama care during the time of admission or outpatient visit

Provide handout to all the patient and other relatives regarding the benefits of obama care

The regulations included in obamacare is

i) The insurance coverage is guaranted irrespective to the preexisting illness.

II) Premium must be the same to the person with the same age irrespect to the pre existing illness.

III) Essential health benefits must be provided ( such as ambulatory patient services, emergency services, hospitalization, maternity and new born care, mental health and substance abuse disorder services, Etc)

IV) Additional preventive care and Screening for women( Contraceptive methods, Sterilization procedures, patient education and counselling for all women with reproductive capacity.

V) Annual and lifetime coverage on caps on essential benefits are banned.

VI Prohibits insurers from dropping policy holdders when they get sick.
