Think about the organism’s life cycle and day to day life. Write a story about your organism’s life. What kind of competition does your organism experience? How is your organism uniquely adapted to compete? What other ways could your organism adapt to become more fit?

You must include any five of the following concepts in your story

  • natural selection
  • artificial selection
  • extinction
  • adaptation
  • survival of the fittest
  • niche
  • mimicry

Giraffe

A giraffe is a majestic wild animal, Giraffes inhabits savannas, grasslands or open woodlands. Giraffe prefers area with acacia growth.A giraffe is an perfect example of natural selection. Environmental changes can be hard on numerous species in ana ecosystem, as it have a very powerful impact on natural selection. A Giraffe have adapted to its environment by natural selection of feature of a long neck which evolved form many generations, before giraffes adapted to having long necks , the taller giraffe could reach the higher food supply (or taller tree leaves)whereas the shorter giraffe could not reach to the higher food supply ,when the food supply growing lower the scarce, the shorter giraffe could not survive or showed less survival and reproduction as compared to the taller giraffes , thus leading to the natural selection of the taller giraffe species A common environmental pressure is the survival of the fittest, in this only the organisms which best adapt or suit to he environment will survive and reproduce, this can be clearly seen in the example of giraffe where the taller giraffe survived and reproduced while the shorter one could not survive and reproduced, thus showing survival of the fittest .The giraffe and okapi evolved from a common ancester known as pre-okapi, since the giraffe got adapted to its environment with natural selection whereas the okapi where prevalent only in areas where they where having sufficient resources to survive and reproduce leading to their extinction in other areas . The giraffes too have adapted to different by creating sub species like the nigerian giraffe has adapted to the rainy nigerian climate while the reticulate giraffe is adapted to the dry savanna climate

Using the same rule with regard to the date that B has selected, A must select a new date, and so...

Pick any two variables that you feel may be related and estimate what you think the strength of the correlation coefficient would be for those two variables. In your response, estimate the value of r. For example, specify a strong (.7 to .9), medium (.4 to .6), or low (0 to .3) value for r. The value of the coefficient can be positive or negative. For example, consider an increase in police patrols in a neighborhood and the number of...
